Why isn't anyone commenting on the blog posts??? This has been going on for quite a while. Maybe because James hasn't responded to some questions asked in previous blog comments? Here is a question for James: Instead of the dacron with vinyl sign material over the top, have you considered just using a single layer of "monokote" type stuff like on model airplanes? They have a higher VNE than the Belite, and it would seem that this would be a considerable weight savings.

I did try monokote several years ago on a tail feather. I just couldn't get comfortable with its strength. There is another product out of Germany which is available and I will be trying it soon. "Oratex", you can google it. It is pre-colored dacron with a amazing glue system, but it is expensive.

I thought Poli-fiber was the end of everything in our days. All the EAA swear by it and put in on their RANSes which hit 120 knots.
